Wow! Brilliant! Insane! Our reviewer is blown away by Thomas Keller’s London pop-up

This is not a restaurant review. I didn't pay for my dinner and you won't be able to eat at this establishment. So this breaks all the rules – which means you can take the mark out of 10, below, with a pinch of salt. But the 10-day pop-up version of The French Laundry (open till tomorrow) should not go unmentioned because it is, quite simply, extraordinary. 'Well,” understated my friend as we embarked on a four-hour lunch at the most ravenously anticipated “pop-up” Britain has known, “it’s not much like the last one, is it?” Indeed not. Top chef to dish a treat for Harrods

ONE of the most famous restaurants in the world will visit London for 10 days this year, looking certain to cause a stampede of people desperate to secure a table. The French Laundry – twice named the best restaurant in the world – will open as a “pop-up” eaterie in department store Harrods this October. But diners should start saving now – lunch or dinner will be served at £250 a go. Thomas Keller reveals details about Harrods pop-up restaurant

Thomas Keller is to launch his pop-up version of his three-Michelin starred Californian restaurant The French Laundry at Harrods on 1 October. First revealed by BigHospitality in January, the pop-up restaurant will run for 10 days at Harrods’ fourth floor Georgian Restaurant, which will be faithfully redesigned to mirror the interior of the original French Laundry in Napa Valley. The restaurant will serve 70-covers with a £250, nine-course set menu featuring some of the restaurant's classic dishes plus a selection of new creations.
